Trancoso is a village that has recently become a famous and sophisticated resort. Trancoso's main square is called “quadrado”, with its charming Jesuit church built in XVI^th century. The houses in the "quadrado" were converted into galleries, ateliers, boutiques, bars, restaurants and B&Bs. Although somewhat sleepy during the day, at night the village becomes full of life when the shops and restaurants open their doors. Trancoso is about a 40-minute drive from the bungalow.
